Overdue!

Well here we go. I owe you an update starting from Tuesday!

We had a couple pretty heavy days as some of you may already know from Facebook and various other cyber grapevines. Our drummer made the decision to leave the tour on Monday night and after endless hours of deliberation, he finally took a train home with all of his equipment to take care of a couple things at home that should have been dealt with before leaving for a two month tour. We were all sad by his sudden departure after only 5 days on the road, however we hope he'll be able to take care of everything back at home!

BESIDES all that, we've got an old friend of Moe and Isabel's joining us in Austin after SXSW to play drums with us, so just a few more days playing acoustic, and then we'll be

Rockin' all the way home!

On Wednesday morning we packed up, re-grouped and headed onward to Scottsdale, AZ where we played at our main hub, Prankster's Too, owned by the one and only Perry! We of course get to stay with our Arizona mom and dad, Carol and Dan Mahoney (and I write to you from the couch with a plate of lasagna leftovers from last night's gourmet dinner...thanks Carol)

mmm...Home-cooked meals!

On Thursday morning, we played at the South Mountain Community College in Phoenix at lunchtime. We had an extra special audience which consisted of about 20 rambunctious youngsters from the college daycare. Moe offered them our 3 tambourines and whoa can they dance! Blake made sure that they shared the instruments throughout our set and they accomplished this with grace as well.

Kids just seems to get it. They can have fun and dance to music without worrying about who's watching...

And finally last night, we played a second night at Prankster's Too which was even more fun than the night before. Perry lined up all three vans at the gas station across the street to fill 'em up for the next leg of our journey, which was greatly appreciated.

Well I hope this was a sufficient update for now, we're going to hit the road to Tucson in about an hour so I'm gonna get goin'.

See ya soon.
